World Digital Library

The World Digital Library at WDL offers free access to rare books, maps, manuscripts, films and photographs from across the globe. Libraries and cultural institutions from the world over have contributed content and expertise, bringing in priceless material, from ancient Chinese or Persian calligraphy to early Latin American photography.Available in seven core languages, the library aims to reduce the rich-poor digital divide, promote better understanding between cultures, and provide a global teaching resource.
