Google Earth in 3D Mode

The popular Google Maps has now gone 3D, allowing for one of the most popular features of Google Earth right in your browser. Google Maps is integrating one of the most popular features of the Google Earth software: the ability to view three-dimensional models of the world around us. Called ‘Earth View’, the new feature can be activated by simply clicking on the ‘Earth’ button in the top-right corner of the map you are viewing.

Users will need to install the Google Earth plugin for their browser first, which can be found at http://maps.google.com/earthview. Once you have that done, you can enjoy a Maps experience that includes angled Earth views, 3D buildings, smooth panning and zooming and a great introductory showcase of places to visit and things to see.
