Break Dancing Gorilla at the Calgary Zoo

Breakdancing zoo gorilla is a YouTube hit
WASHINGTON A gorilla caught on film “breakdancing” at a zoo in Canada has become an online star. Keepers at Calgary Zoo filmed eight-year-old Zola dancing in a puddle of water, reports the Calgary Sun.
They say he gets so excited about playing in water that he breaks out into spontaneous little dances. The clip, which has attracted 4,25,000 hits on YouTube, shows Zola splashing, spinning on one heel and stomping through the puddle.
Calgary Zoo spokeswoman Laurie Skene said the zoo was raising awareness about the plight of the highly-endangered Western Lowland gorillas. As part of that, a zoo' keeper took a video camera into the enclosure to capture some “gorilla stuff”.
“He told us that Zola likes to play in water and just caught this moment in time,” said Skene. “We had no idea it would gain such popularity — and in essence raise that much awareness.”
